The GIANT G1500 (Giant G1500 X-tra) will be the successor of the Giant D332ST, D332SWT (X-tra). The machine will enjoy a Stage V diesel engine as an upgrade. Also called Phase V diesel engine. These diesel engines are equipped with a particulate filter to reduce emissions.

It is not yet known whether the shovel will have independent wheel motors. It is known that the new Giant D263SWM with switchable wheel motors, in terms of capacity and possibilities, will be comparable to the Giant D332SWT. This is because the Giant D263SWM has had an upgrade.
